(4/3/07) lemon candy gel and kerosene lamp

(Entered in paper journal at 5:54 AM at Starbucks on 56th Street and 6th Avenue.)

Dream 1

I was in a barber's chair. The room was dimmish. My co-workers MW and FC were giving me a haircut. They asked me about a promotion (?) I had gotten. I "saw" a page of names and titles before me and saw the word "technical" below my name. I told MW and FC I really didn't know what had happened for me.

MW and FC were now coating my hair in a weird gel that smelled like lemon or lime candy and had the consistency of motor oil. One  of them passed a kerosene lamp with a red base before my eyes.

One of the two told me, "Don't move your body for 60 minutes, or else the stuff on your head won't work." They especially warned me not to move my elbows, which were at some specific position on the arm rests. I wondered if I could read a book, but I realized that this would cause me to move my elbows and my head. I suddenly wondered if I could stand such boredom.
