(11/22/08) anime girl's lesbian decision; the descent of man

(Entered in paper journal at 8:57 AM at Connecticut Muffin in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.)

Dream #1

A cartoon where a young girl decided to go out with another young girl. The girl later explained this to her friends. They all sat in a room in the school at night. The room opened out to a little yard and walkway. The walls and floor of the place were blue.

The girl sat in a chair. She had shortish hair and glasses. Two of the girl's friends stood before the girl. Everybody had a "chibi" animation style -- with flattish faces, no noses, etc.

The girl explained that she had been interested in a boy that was in her group of friends. But the girls had all made it sound like the boy was unavailable. The girl's friends had made it seem like the only person available for going out on a date was the other girl. So, the girl explained, she had decided to go out with the other girl.

Dream #2

A group of people standing in a dark room with a wide, smooth spotlight spreading over them. A group of three or four people stood in the background. One person stood in the close foreground, right before the "camera lens," as if this were a TV show. The man was baldish, wore glasses, and had a stubby face. All the people were scientists.

The foremost man explained his theory that animals had developed up to a certain point on earth, with primates reaching a high point six million years ago. But six million years ago, the ancestors of man arrived on a spaceship. So man did not come from the evolution of primates on earth, even though the evolution of primates had actually occurred. The man said something in this respect about the continuity of the geological record.

I may have seen an image of two earths or two globes, both of which were brown or brownish red, like globes of soil with no water or atmosphere surrounding them.
